Akron, Ohio | Wedding Photographer | sweethearts.

Are you a fan of a good love story? Just wait, I have a great one here. Recently I had the opportunity to photograph a very special wedding. A couple, high school sweethearts, getting married after 48 years. They have lived, loved, and by chance, found each other again. Observing them during the short time I got to spend with them, I saw happiness. Like the kind of giddy happiness you get to experience when you fall in love. They were old flames with new love and it was really a blessing to see it.
So these two right here? They are the proud Papas...who have been friends their entire lives. Now just how cool is that. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of this very special day!

Before and after

You plan it all. Schedule the day, pick out the perfect coordinating outfits, then boom. A bump on the head, a scratch on the face. Do you cancel, nope! Check out this before and after. First is SOOC and second is with my edits.

Hudson, Ohio | Family Photographer | love.

To say I love this family is an understatement. Love. Love. Love.
Just wait until you see their Christmas Card photo from this year. All I can say, is fun!

Hudson, Ohio | Family Photographer | sisters.

Makes me miss being a kid with my sisters :)

Cuyahoga Falls | Family Photographer | blondie.

When dear friends contacted me to once again photograph their sweet boy, I jumped at the chance. Then the weather didn't cooperate. A few times. Luckily, it was worth the wait, I think. A beautiful day and a beautiful family.
(and that was the exact same face he made when he was a newborn :))

Just can't get enough

I just can't resist doing an extended preview of my senior from a few weeks ago because, well, I just can't get enough of this one. So here are a few that well, just made me smile.
(I mean, SERIOUSLY.)

(Did I mention she is also a soccer player?)
And finally, my FAVORITE.

Yup, this one was very fun :)

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio | Homecoming Photographer | dance.

My dream for every shoot is perfect warm(ish) weather, partly cloudy skies with some yummy light. That just doesn't always happen. So what do you do when it is freezing cold, raining/spitting and super gloomy? Embrace it.
Seriously. It was freezing. But can you tell at all? Nope! All you have to do is smooch your sister, and embrace cute boots!
And it seems like the perfect day for a shoot-with the promise of the heater running full blast when you get back to the car.
If you are interested in some sweet Prom photos, let me know now...unless I have perfected the whole more than one place at a time thing, spots will definitely be limited.

Christmas Mini Sessions | joy.

Kent, Ohio | Senior Photographer | chuck taylors.

Oh did I have fun with this session. The night before my session, I had a dream. I was on the tracks shooting away, when suddenly a train came puffing and chuffing down the tracks and "Suddenly, there was trouble!" We had to jump off the tracks and roll down the hill. (And for the record, if you have had a 2.5-?? year old boy in your house in the last twenty years, you know what I mean by that...)
Well. Wouldn't you know my dream came true. Except for the whole rolling down the hill part.
We certainly did jump off the tracks in a hurry though! And I really hope we didn't block anyone else trying to get a picture of this historic steam engine. Very, very cool. I have so many favorite images to go through from this shoot...like this one.
I mean seriously. GRAY CHUCK TAYLORS. Love.
And hello there golden gorgeous light. And finally one in my favorite peeling doors. Please don't let them ever fix this.

Because it is perfect. More to come soon! I love me some Seniors!!

Cuyahoga Falls | Family Photographer | aunts.

When one of my very favorite clients asked if I would photograph her extended family, I jumped at the chance-aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Lots of personality and energy made it even more fun. This little guy is the energy
But he wasn't too fast for me! This sweet girl had some personality.
Seriously. What a smile. And then there are these two. Oh how I love to take this exact picture every year of these two. This is their third annual shot :)
And finally, the whole crew. More to come soon ladies!

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio | Newborn Photographer | Baby.

There is much debate amongst my friends about Facebook. The like it, they hate it, they like it so much that they had to make themselves hate it. Me, I am in the like it camp, and this is just one of many reasons why. Finding an old college friend, doing a little catching up, then getting the opportunity to take photos of said college friend's ADORABLE new baby. I simply cannot decide which picture is my favorite so far. Perhaps this one?
Or perhaps I like it better in black & white?Or maybe this one is my favorite.I believe this is the first of many times on a saddle for this boy. And can I say that he slept for approximately three minutes during his session. Apparently did not want to miss anything.
Or perhaps this is my favorite. So sweet. So content. Baby. Yes, I like Facebook. And I love what I do.

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio | Family Photographer | Another first birthday!!

Goodness have I been in love with all of these babies lately. All of these babies quickly turning into toddlers. Beginning to stand, walk, growing teeth, exploring, and learning. I can't believe Jack is more than halfway to this stage. Although I probably won't be able to do many outside green park shoots with him for his birthdays, I forsee some fun playing in the snow shoots (and some awesome New Year's Eve parties!) Onto the next gorgeous one year old!
I could get lost in this little guys eyes. I mean really.
They grow so very fast, you have to remember everything. Even the drool :)
He was such a willing subject. His mama and daddy are very lucky with this sweet face.
Added bonus? He can stand, but he can't walk quite yet. It will be much harder to get his picture very soon I am sure-ha.
Did I mention you can get lost in his eyes? Well, do you see what I mean??
Thanks for celebrating your special day with me!

Chambersburg, PA | Family Photographer | First birthday!

Rolling right along with all of the birthday celebrations, check out this cutie who I have been taking pictures of, well, since she was in her Mama's tummy :)
I am also a huge fan of her big brother.

Oh I will miss you all!

Cleveland, Ohio | Family photographer | First birthday!

I can hardly believe a year has gone by for this sweet pair. Happy first birthday!

Chambersburg, PA | Family Photographer | Winner!

A few months back a very excited lady won a photoshoot with me (a fundraiser for our children's school) and I was determined to fit her in before we skedaddled. In return she gave me super sturdy boxes to pack my dishes. :)
Goodness aren't they a sweet family!

Chambersburg, PA | Family Photographer | Ohio girl :)

Wouldn't you know that just a few months before the big move back to Ohio, I would meet another Ohio girl. Buckeyes, WINdians (well, they were at the time) and Browns...be still my beating heart. So at one point she told me she had never gotten any engagement pictures. Well. Now there you go my dear...so when is the wedding?
Now since I left she has gotten an ADORABLE haircut...so I think we need to do this again ;)
